Click-to-Call – a new nifty feature for Android and Chrome

I discussed this by accident today, it’s pretty simple and cool. When you click a telephone number of a webpage in Chrome (tel:XXX URL) on PC, you will get a popup offering you to call from your phone. The picture below explains it all, using VMware’s phone number in Germany. You get a toast notification which you can tap (or you can tap it later from the notification area) to bring up the dialer UI

The only nuance I had found, is that it automatically adds “+”, to your number, so in my case I had to manually edit the number before calling.

That’s it! Give it a try and share your impressions!
